One of the things we take very seriously around the Fat and the Moon Coven is plant magic. Dreamweaver Mist employs a concoction of botanical beings that support the lucid, the vivid, the oracular in dream space, and other realms of consciousness exploration.
Deep Dive: One of the plants which has had a long herstory of magical use is mugwort, artemisia vulgaris. Artemisia – a name sprung forth from Artemis, the goddess of the forest, the hunt and the moon and of the highest order of bitches. Mugwort has a way of making us face our dreams, so we don’t keep pushing them aside for later. Mugwort has been used to keep evil spirits at bay, to cleanse negative energy, and was slipped into shoes to act against weariness in travel. Lavender’s soothing comes forth from the spaciousness this plant creates. California Poppy rounds the edges of sharp unconscious material we meet in dreams, allowing the dreamer a little ease.
